  1. Hall of Famer/ baseball legend Hank Aaron passed away Friday at the age of 86. Aaron finished his career with 755 home runs, which was second all-time. 
  2. NFC Championship: Tampa Bay 31 Green Bay 26; AFC Championship: Kansas City 38 Buffalo 24. 
  3. Former Dodgers utility-man Kike Hernandez signed a two-year, $14 million deal with the Boston Red Sox. 
  4. The Red Sox signed pitcher Garrett Richards to a one-year, $10 million deal. 
  5. The Chiefs opened as a 3 point favorite over Tampa Bay in Super Bowl LV. 
  6. Azusa Pacific beat Biola 77-68 Saturday night at Felix Event Center to even its record at 1-1. The Cougars lost at Biola Friday night to open the 2021 season. 
  7. The Memphis Grizzlies have had five straight games postponed due to the NBA’s health and safety protocols. 
  8. Larry Scott’s 11 year run as Pac 12 Commissioner will end in June the conference announced. 
  9. The Detroit Lions reportedly will actively seek to trade quarterback Matthew Stafford.
  10. On this day in 1998 the Denver Broncos beat the Green Bay Packers 31-24 in Super Bowl XXXII in Qualcomm Stadium in San Diego. Denver RB Terrell Davis was named MVP.
