Oh yeah, it’s early, but never too early. Some of these guys have yet to throw a pass, some have thrown only once, but they are the heir apparents at schools like Charter Oak and South Hills where Chris Allen and Cameron Deen will have moved on in the fall.

1.) Michael Ball (Jr.), Rowland (10-3): To the Raiders to the semifinals for the first time in nearly forty years in 2008. Nuclear talent.
2.) Isaac Valdez (Sr.), San Gabriel (5-6): Heading into his third year as the SG starter. Playoff experience, playmaking ability, leadership, another in a long line of greats at SG.
3.) Gus Viramontes (Sr.), Diamond Ranch (7-7): Took DR to the finals and is coming back for more.
4.) Jarron Williams (Sr.), Muir (9-2): Elder, Mitchell, Thomas, and now Williams. Sounds like a lot of yards.
5.) George Johnson (Jr.), West Covina (10-3): Helped lead the WC to the semis as a sophomore. Gun for a right arm.
6.) Darrian Cazarin (Sr.), Alhambra (5-5): Another three year starter in the Almont who knows how to use the weapons around him.
7.) Josh Perea (Sr.), El Rancho (2-8): It’s been a tough stretch on The Ranch, otherwise you would know about Perea.
8.) Jeffrey Davis (Jr.), Pasadena (1-9): Young but talented.
9.) Thomas Peralta (Sr.), Walnut (5-5): Helped revive a dormant Mustang program in ‘08
10.) Alex Flores (Sr.), Santa Fe (9-2): First round loss was tough, but Flores can help make it right.
11.) Garrett Tuck (Sr.), Arcadia (4-6) Injuries, first year starter, you name it happened to Tuck. He’ll climb this list before the end of ‘09
12.) Moises Chavez (Sr.), Glendale (6-4): Another coaching change, but a gem for Nitros.
13.) Adam Colman (Jr,), Burbank (6-6): Should be starter from day one, has experience.
14.) Lucas Yanez (Jr.), Burroughs (7-4): Will be expected to be more than just a manager with the departure of Dominique Barnes.
16.) Justin Zamano (Sr.), Los Altos (1-9): Played well down the stretch for the Conqs.
16.) Josh Peraza (Sr.), Bell Gardens (5-6): Experienced arm for the Lancers.
17.) Steven Del Villar (Sr.), Pioneer (2-8): Tough player, in a tough league, makes winning…tough.
18.) Evan Bachman (Sr.), Mark Keppel (0-10): He’s got size, experience, and numbers.
19.) Kyle Brown (Sr.), Charter Oak (13-0-1): Might get challenged by Josh Thropay, but expect him to climb this list.
20.) Brock Booth (Jr.), South Hills (9-3): Steve Bogan always has a full stable, right now it’s Booth’s turn.
21.) Aaron Cantu (Jr.), Schurr (7-4): Should step in for Ricky Mendez.
22.) Aj Pule (Jr.), Hoover (0-10): Yeah, played well. Stephen Choi is also back.
23.) Evan Highley (Sr.), Bonita (7-4): Replacing Terry Paradez won’t be easy.
24.) Kyle Cota (Sr.), Crescenta Valley (9-3): Neither will be replacing Karsen Reedy.
25.) Matthew Viramontes (Sr.), Whittier (3-7): Keeps Cards competitive.
26.) Dylan Gomez (Sr.), Montebello (4-6): Manages the game.
27.) Aaron Gomez (Jr.), Wilson (1-9): New coach, new game plan.
28.) Andrew Buenrostro (Jr.), La Serna (10-2): Didn’t get many snaps behind Ben Burke.
29.) Eddie Artiga (Sr.), California (8-3): Lots of Condor talent will make this easier.
30.) Jude Njuh (Jr.), Nogales (1-9): It’s not easy being Nogales.
