What fan fb fan page? ER people support their program in every way possible, they never proclaim they are the best in the area or top dog. ER has a seasoned veteran staff that coaches up its players who happen to be 100% Pico Rivera based. No other program around squeezes as much out of their players as ER does. Yes Santa Ana will be a good test, I’ll give you this prediction, ER is going to play hard, as far as a W or L, we have a 50% chance.
Whoa 18, let’s not get ahead of yourself. You haven’t played anybody worthwhile. I’ll wait to see what you do against Santa Ana before giving any nod.
2-0 !
this week SV better be ready
WE ARE FOCUSED ON GETTING BETTER EVERY WEEK!
Too bad for the team that meets us at THE END
Feels good to say WE ARE HOMEGROWN ! lol many cant say that !
Are you kidding me? They do it every year. I guess you haven’t seen their FB fan page.
Glad to see Juarez is turning Pioneer around…
It’s because all the hate is coming from Whittier. Bottom line is Whittier hates Pico from youth sports to high school or anything Pico for that matter. It’s inherent city to city. It’s ok, we can take the heat
Why you bimbos so worried about El Rancho? I don’t see them boasting on here. No one said they are a team to contend with. Are they living rent free in your head? It appears so. Worry about your team. No one else cares. They are apparently no threat so why worry.
Yea no one from ER is claiming we’re top dog, we’re just tryna win some games with our home grown team that’s all. not sure why one of the only teams who does things right and actually coaches kids up gets so much hate.
We can’t control that Don Lugo fell off, we can’t control that Sierra Vista was left hanging High and dry, Santa Ana will be a good test, BG and Montebello are local games we should always be playing but honestly those 2 games aren’t doing a lot for us anymore. I fully support ER but will be the first to tell you the schedule is not strong, hopefully we’re ready for league play.
ER probably has the weakest preseason schedule I’ve seen. Can’t get better unless you step up and play a harder schedule.
Here we go with ER “don’t sleep on us” C’mon man. You guys are weak and will never be the top dog in your area.
@Not as good: Nobody on here bragging about the Ranch. Nobody on here making excuses for our schedule. ER fans knows the schedule has turned out weaker than was originally expected. Mr. MV of SV begged for a home and away series with ER to hype up SV’s profile with their hoped for D1 transfers. Then he split for greener pastures leaving the program in shreds. I don’t know why this guy got away with such selfish behavior by the local media. The Whittier Daily News treats him like he is Knute Rockne. He’s a bum for what he did at SV. But I Digress. La Serna should be able to easily beat ER with all your hired guns but so far you’re the gang that can’t shoot straight. Your excuse is your team is young but so is ER. Our roster is also loaded with underclassmen and it looks like you might have to be worried for a while.

San Gabriel has wins vs
Mountain View and Gabrielino
Calm Down.
The ranch will get taken to the ranch and whooped by LS this year.
Whittier has been a tough luck team hard to figure under Ansich. A couple of seasons ago in their last game of the season they were a couple of ticks away from beating La Serna and on their way to a high seed in the playoffs. They blew a play and lost it and even though 7-3 with the best runner in the SGV they were not awarded a playoff spot. They are the Forest Gump chocolates of the Del Rio, you never know what your gonna get. They prat fall against San Dimas after a great start then beat a good Fullerton team this past Friday. Next they get Dominguez who is cake walking in Compton after humiliating a Del Rio Santa Fe team 68-0. Are we gonna get a beautiful chocolate truffle or a peanut filled brownish mess? Your guess is as good as mine.

Hey Polanco why don’t you get of Estradas sack already!
He lives rent free in your head. You where sorry as a player, sorry as a coach, and fathered a sorry a$$ QB for a son.
That’s what happens when you get a pop Warner at best quality coach as your DC.
It was not long ago this team was scheduling every year the likes of Edison, San Clemente, Warren, Downey, Bonita and beating them. No cupcakes for these guys thank you. It has now been a decade since this team of legendary playoff runs has won even one play0ff game . Santa Fe is sadly the new Pioneer of the Del Rio League. “We play the Chiefs Friday….. put up a W”. 68-O loss to Dominguez? This has to be a typo.
It was like the old 2 for 1 beer night at the Tamarack. Not an empty stool to be had. ER fans celebrated the ease of Covid restrictions and brought with them the familia. Long lines and long walks from parking did not matter, everyone was in that happy hour mood even the abuelas. The Ranch couldn’t lose in front of this shoulder to shoulder crowd. And they did not. The score did not matter as much as watching THE RANCH folks having a good time supporting their boys and town. A true home town team.
Nice to see signs of life from the SG program again.
The Spartans won’t do anything worth writing about with that DC there. They had their best team a few years back and only could muster up second round loss.
I was surprised last week that Cal struggled with Schurr trailing at the half considering their dominance in passing league. Well Schurr turns out has some weapons and coach Ramos is getting the most out of them putting 48 on not a bad South Torrance group. Next week Schurr plays Arroyo. That game should go a long way to tell us where we are at with those two. Zamora blamed Cals loss on the fact that Cal is playing the “big boys” but up until that ratings boost El Toro got from beating Cal they were hardly world beaters. And managing only 7 with their hoped for powerful offense is showing some signs of worry like La Habra and La Serna teams but those guys are playing the big boys. We will see if next weeks Segastrom win turns Cal into a ‘big boy” team.
He no mention of Pasadena Poly and Rio Hondo Prep?
Poly is in the RHL this season and RHP has one of the most winningest programs in the SGV.
BTW, Rio Hondo won 49-0 and they play TC in a couple of weeks or so.
I know TC has long been deflated and seemingly a young team but to lose to KEPPEL? How did they lose to Keppel so bad like that?..
Yes, recruiting
San Gabriel 2-0 and coming for the almont league title. Coach Kevin has rebuilt our program
@ Anonymous (talking about the Alhambra baseball program): “Moor baseball” just answered your question.
@ Moor baseball: I was wondering about Jose Montes’ coaching background. I’d never heard of him before. But, Montes was sort of an internal hire for Alhambra because he served as the assistant coach for the Moors’ JV team last spring.
@ Question Mark: La Serna’s quarterback must have been sacked several times, and the Lancers’ running backs gained few, if any, yards.
After watching Monrovia vs. Arcadia, what has happened to the kicking game? Monrovia can’t make an extra point and I don’t remember them trying a field goal. As for Arcadia, there extra points were fine, but the punter averaged less then 15 yards per kick. Did they stop raiding the soccer team?
Here we go with La Serna is young BS!! You must be coaches brother.
Time for new Santa Fe coach Agnew to join his namesake Spiro (of Richard Nixon presidency fame) and resign. Nobody would notice if he were gone, because so far, its as if the team had no coach. This state of affairs goes way beyond anything that can be considered negotiable.
WHATTTTT!!! No way Kepple won?? And over TC. I mean TC isn’t the best team out there but for them to lose to kepple?? Just WOW! Maybe kepple has a couple solid kids over there
@ron what are your thoughts on the Jose Montes hire as new baseball coach. Former Pasadena high coach. Interesting hire I thought if it was an in house hire it would be one of the varsity assistants given they were under Steve’s watch
Kevin Pearson doing what he does
Time to get ready for baseball season at Alhambra wonder who the new baseball coach will be
In 2019 the Aztecs broke a 47 game loosing streak and beat Firebaugh. They then lost 7 in a row until beaaating Temple City last night.
Thank goodness for the running clock or this game would have gotten out of hand. I mean La Serna’s running game was a record. They ran -62 yards backwards for total rushing. How exactly do you do that? Can’t you just fall forward for a half a yard? I think what was going on here was that the Lancers might have been pulling the NBA tactic of losing to better position themselves for a playoff run. D14 watch out here we come. 1st round La Serna vs Keppel.
WOW!!!! When was the last time you saw Keppel in the W column? Over a once proud TCHS program none the less.
La Serna will bounce back. They by far have the toughest nonleague schedule than anyone in the Del Rio.
Mark Keppel won! Good for the Aztecs!
Meanwhile, Alhambra couldn’t stop the run. The AHS quarterback and the offense are fine, but the Moors’ defense needs a lot of work!
Temple City the new Keppel?
When was the last time mark keppel won a game ?
Warren is solid and la Serna is young. La Serna still a good team, but they won’t dominate this year, give it a year or 2 though.
Warren is good, real good. But at par with D1 calm down…
Wow La Serna and the schedule only gets more harder for them… Good Luck
Warren just beat La Serna 52-7. The most shocking thing about it is, not so much the Bears’ point total, but the Lancers’ inability to score more than 7. Is this the great unraveling of the once-great Friendly Hills pigskin dynasty, or is Warren a powerhouse on par with division one clubs? Time will tell.
