(Baldwin Park) – Sierra Vista head football coach Pete Moye’ was fired Wednesday after just one season. The Dons finished 0-8 this past season.
“Admin thought it was best that the program goes in a different direction,” Moye’ posted.
Moye’ succeeded co -head coaches Sergio and Matt Villasenor who guided Sierra Vista to a 6-6 record (11-1 on the field) in 2019. The Dons went 3-1 on the abbreviated Spring season.
The Villasenors stepped down after the Spring season. Sierra Vista will begin the search for a new head coach immediately.
The word of the day is “sabotage.”

Braves, continue to demolish Sierra Vista on and off the field. The ex Brave Cuevas and Braves AD Knight are teaming up to sabatosh any bright spot Sierra Vista has. Take a look and you will see what BP gets away with, if the news papers would really follow the news they would find that Villaseñors/ Cuevas/Pratt/ and Knight are the worst thing that ever happened to Sierra Vista and the community. BPHS sports get to bend all the rules but that is ok! then the duo turns around and cry about it when SV does it! Football is not the only sport that is fast declining due to this Brave connection! Knight cries and Cuevas goes to work, Fire the coaches!!! Be alerted Coaches Planning to go to SV plan on dealing with the Brave connection! “You are fired!” will not fix the problem, Brave connection.
Los Altos coach Travis Brown canned. After 31/2 seasons coach Brown is job hunting. In 2019 he took the Conqs to the semi’s. This season he shot himself in the foot by playing too tough a schedule. They beat a higher division Northview team a 2021 CIF finalist in the last game of the season. Go figure this firing out. It has to be more than coaching right? I’m guessing LA admins have someone in mind and I think I know who.

Cinesceros will be the next coach! Principal has no problems with coaches that recruit.
OK time for the 2021-22 coaching carousel. I’m guessing with the new format of punishing over-achieving teams the focus will be on hiring a coach that will get you a bunch of losses but still qualify you for the playoffs. Crappy coaches, keep your phones close by and expect a call.
