  2. Former Pitt wide receiver Jordan Addison announced that he is transferring to USC. 
  3. Softball: Temple City vs Moorpark – CIF Division 4 Final Friday, 3;30 p.m. Deanna Manning Stadium, Irvine. 
  4. The Boston Celtics routed the Miami Heat 127-102 Thursday night to even the Eastern Conference Finals series at 1-1. 
  5. Rory McIlroy shot a five-under 65 Thursday to take a one-shot lead at the end of the first round of the PGA Championship. 
  6. New York Mets pitcher Max Scherzer will be out 6-8 weeks with an oblique strain. 
  7. Downey quarterback Aidan Chiles has received 8 offers so far which include Pac-12 schools Oregon State, Washington, Oregon and Washington State.

  9. The Dodgers have won five straight and are 25-12, 1.5 games ahead of the second place San Diego Padres in the NL West. 
  10. The Dodgers’ Max Muncy is batting .167 with 3 HR and 13 RBI through his first 36 games.

    The fact that USC isn’t offering Chiles tells you just how loaded the Trojans are, and how dominant they are going to be right out of the gate with new HC Lincoln Riley. Incredible but true: USC football is already reaching the saturation point, where guys don’t want to come anymore because the team is brimming with starters.
