  1. The Dallas Cowboys beat the New York Giants 23-16 on Monday Night Football. 
  2. San Gabriel at Schurr, Thursday Night, 7:00 p.m. 
  3. Chargers left tackle Rashawn Slater is out for the season with torn biceps. Linebacker Joey Bosa is week to week with a groin injury. 
  4. “Yankees-Dodgers: An Uncivil War” on ESPN. 
  5. Chargers at Houston Texans, Sunday 10:00 a.m. CBS. The Chargers are 1-2.   
  6. Cleveland Browns defensive end Myles Garrett suffered a shoulder sprain and a biceps sprain as well as cuts and bruises in a car accident he was involved in Monday afternoon. He is questionable for Sunday’s game against the Atlanta Falcons. 
  7. The Rams (2-1) will face the San Francisco 49ers at Levi’s Stadium on Monday Night Football. 
  8. UCLA (4-0) hosts Washington Friday night at 7:30 p.m. at the Rose Bowl. 
  9. On this date in 1974 Nolan Ryan threw his third career no-hitter in the Angels 4-0 win over the Minnesota Twins. 
  10. Former Nebraska star/ NFL receiver Irving Fryar turns 60 today. Fryar was the number one overall pick by the New England Patriots in 1984.

    Whittier Daily News just posted a top ten list for girls flag football. La Serna was ranked 4th but we should be #1 as out girls are undefeated.
