(Sierra Madre) – Mark Serve’, who was most recently the head coach at Westlake, has been named the new head football coach at La Salle the school confirmed Wednesday.

Serve’ spent the last three seasons at Westlake and had an overall record of 9-21. Prior to that he was at Sierra Canyon for 12 years and was the offensive coordinator on Jon Ellinghouse’s staff before departing for Westlake. Serve’ was named Mid Valley Sports Offensive Coordinator of the Year for the 2016 season.

“I’m fired up and can’t wait to get started. I’m looking forward to the opportunity,” Serve’ said. “The Administration at La Salle is awesome. They are willing to work their butts off and that’s how I am too. I’m willing to work my tail off.”

Serve’ takes over for Ben Buys, who stepped down last month after five seasons at the helm to take the head coaching job at Chaffey College. La Salle went 4-6 last year and missed the playoffs.
