  1. NCAA Women’s Tournament – Final Four: South Carolina vs. North Carolina State; UConn vs. Iowa 
  2. Jarvis Basnight, who played under Jerry Tarkanian at UNLV from 1985-1988 passed away at the age of 59. Basnight was a key member of the 1987 Final Four team.
  3. Caitlin Clark scored 41 points and had 12 assists to lead Iowa to a 94-87 win over LSU Monday night. 
  4. Former NFL cornerback Vontae Davis passed away Monday at the age of 35. Cause of death has not yet been determined.   
  5. In what has been rumored for the last week SMU officially announced that former USC head basketball coach Andy Enfield has been hired as its new head coach. Enfield spent 11 years at USC compiling an overall record of 220-147 and had five NCAA Tournament bids. 
  6. The USC women were eliminated from the NCAA Tournament by UConn in an 80-73 loss Monday night. Freshman JuJu Watkins had 29 points for the USC and became the NCAA’s all-time freshman scoring leader.      
  7. Guard Rajon Rondo officially announced his retirement from the NBA after 16 seasons. 
  8. The Iowa – LSU Elite Eight NCAA Women’s Tournament game Monday night featuring Iowa’s Caitlin Clark and LSU’s Angel Reese drew 12.3 million viewers on ESPN – making it the most watched women’s college basketball game in history.   
  9. Bryce Harper hit three home runs Tuesday night, his first three hits of the season, to lead the Philadelphia Phillies to a 9-4 win over the Cincinnati Reds. 
  10. Larry Lucchino, former president and CEO of the Boston Red Sox, passed away at the age of 78.

    5) Andy Enfield will become the new Josh Pastner of the ACC at SMU , contributing mightily to win totals of legends ( despite big NIL $$$). He will retire from coaching and become broadcaster 2029. Very good recruiter , not much otherwise …..
