  1. NCAA Men’s College Basketball Final Four: Purdue 63 North Carolina State 50; UConn 86 Alabama 72. 
  2. NCAA Men’s College Basketball Final: Purdue vs. UConn, Monday night, 6:20 PM, TBS.
  3. South Carolina beat Iowa 77-65 Sunday to win the NCAA Women’s College Basketball championship. South Carolina finished the season 38-0. 
  4. Former Laker great Michael Cooper has been elected to the 2024 Naismith Basketball Hall of Fame.
  5. USC guard Bronny James announced he is entering the NBA draft while maintaining college eligibility. He is also entering the transfer portal. 
  6. The Chicago Cubs beat the Dodgers 8-1 Sunday in a game that was delayed for two hours and 51 minutes by rain. The Cubs took two out of three in the series. 
  7. According to sources Kentucky head basketball coach John Calipari is finalizing a five-year deal to become the next head coach at Arkansas.
  8. Keppel Football is hosting a 7 on 7 Tournament on Saturday June 8. 
  9. The Pittsburgh Pirates have the best record in the National League at 8-2. 
  10. On this day in 1974 Hank Aaron of the Atlanta Braves hit his 715th home run off of the Dodgers’ Al Downing to pass Babe Ruth on the all-time home run list.

    The only way Bronny goes pro this year is if his daddy pressures the Lakers to waste a draft pick on him, or worse, gets the kid onto the team via a 10-day contract. Such is the ego of ‘King’ James…he merely wants to make a historic splash to bolster his name, the son’s individuality be damned. If the older James wants to be on the same team as junior, how about retiring and coaching the youngster?
