- Former Baltimore Ravens receiver Jacoby Jones passed away at the age of 40. Jones scored two touchdowns for the Ravens in a victory over the San Francisco 49ers in Super Bowl XLVII.
- New York Knicks guard Jalen Brunson signed a four-year, $156.5 million extension. Brunson was eligible to sign a five-year, $269 million contract next year but instead chose the lesser deal to give the team roster and financial flexibility.
- Spain beat England 2-1 Sunday to win the European Championship title.
- Martin Bacon has stepped down as the head football coach at Montclair.
- Former UCLA star Johnny Juzang has signed a four-year, $12 million deal to return to the Utah Jazz.
- Denver Nuggets first round pick DaRon Holmes suffered a torn Achilles Friday and is expected to miss the entire 2024-25 season.
- Argentina beat Columbia 1-0 Sunday night to win the Copa America title.
- Carlos Alcaraz beat Novak Djokovic 6-2, 6-2, 7-6 (4) Sunday to win his second Wimbledon title.
