(Huntington Beach) – Charter Oak continued its impressive run in the Summer passing circuit with a win over Huntington Beach in the Final to win the Surf City Tournament Saturday at Huntington Beach High School.
The Chargers were led by the usual suspects – quarterback Corin Berry, receiver Legend Lyons and all purpose athlete LaVar Arrington II. They also got big contributions from Antonio Reasby and Michael White.
The Chargers beat Crean Lutheran to advance to the Championship game. They also knocked off Western, Chino Hills and Foothill along the way.
Charter Oak won the Silver Bracket last week at the Battle of the Beach at Edison and won their own tournament in May at Charter Oak.
The Chargers have gotten a lot of attention this year for having four starters signing Division 1 college commitments as Arrington, Lyons, Berry and Marquis Bradley are all headed to the next level.
So far they are living up to the hype. The helmet and pads will be coming on soon.
