  1. Temple City receiver Judah Douglas could be out 5-8 weeks after dislocating his ankle last week against Alhambra Temple City head coach Riley Saxon confirmed. 
  2. Covina coach Kevin Glaspy has filed a $7.5 million lawsuit against the Covina Unified School District seeking damages for various civil rights and labor code violations.
  3. Rams wide receiver Puka Nacua will be placed on injured reserve after aggravating a knee injury against the Detroit Lions Sunday night.   
  4. The San Francisco 49ers beat the New York Jets 32-19 in the first Monday Night Football game of the year. 
  5. Carolina Panthers Pro Bowl defensive lineman Derrick Brown is out for the year after suffering a meniscus injury in a 47-10 loss to the New Orleans Saints on Sunday.  
  6. The Lakers will wear a band with Jerry West’s number 44 on the left shoulder of their uniforms for the 2024-’25 season to honor the Hall of Fame guard who passed away in June. 
  7. Bonita has won five straight over San Dimas in the Smudge Pot game. 
  8. Colorado safety Shilo Sanders is expected to be out 2-3 weeks after surgery Sunday to repair a right forearm injury. 
  9. UCLA will host Indiana Saturday at the Rose Bowl at 4:30 p.m. in its first home game of the season.
  10. The Chargers are at Carolina Sunday at 10:00 a.m. The Rams are at Arizona at 1:05 p.m.
