  1. Shohei Ohtani stole two bases and hit three homeruns for the Dodgers Thursday in a 20-4 rout of the Miami Marlins to become the first player in Major League history to have 50 stolen bases and 50 home runs in a single season. Ohtani went 6 for 6 with 10 RBIs and 4 runs scored in the game. The Dodgers also clinched a playoff berth with the victory.   
  2. Bishop Amat quarterback Frankie Villalbazo was named the SoCal Offensive Player of the Week for throwing for 331 yards and six touchdowns in a 47-42 win over Vista Murrieta last Friday night.
  3. “The Rio Hondo League is the Ivy League of the San Gabriel Valley”. – La Canada head football coach Dave Avramovich Wednesday night on Spaces. 
  4. New York Jets beat the New England Patriots 24-3 on Thursday Night Football. 
  5. NBA insider Adrian Wojnarowski is leaving ESPN to become the general manager of men’s basketball at St. Bonaventure. 
  6. La Canada Football is 4-0 for the first time since 2005.
  7.  The Cleveland Guardians clinched a playoff spot with a 3-2 win over the Minnesota Twins Thursday. 
  8. Quarterback Arch Manning will make his first start for number 1 Texas Saturday night against UL Monroe replacing Quinn Ewers who is recovering from an oblique injury. 
  9. The Chargers (2-0) are at Pittsburgh Sunday at 10:00 a.m. on CBS. 
  10. The Milwaukee Brewers clinched their third NL Central title in four years Wednesday when the Chicago Cubs lost to the Oakland A’s 5-3.
