  1. The Rams lost to the Chicago Bears 24-18 Sunday to fall to 1-3 on the season. 
  2. The Chargers lost to the Kansas City Chiefs 17-10 Sunday to fall to 2-2 on the season. 
  3. Kansas City receiver Rashee Rice left the game with an injury and is feared to have suffered a torn ACL in his right knee. 
  4. UCLA lost to Oregon 34-13 Saturday night at the Rose Bowl to fall to 1-3 on the year. 
  5. Alabama let a 28-point lead get away but recovered to beat Georgia 41-34 Saturday night.
  6. AP College Football Top 5: 1. Alabama 2. Texas 3. Ohio St. 4. Tennessee 5. Georgia. USC is number 11. 
  7. calpreps.com, a website that is dedicated to posting schedules, scores and rankings for High School Football in California, has ceased operations due to a dispute with CBS. 
  8. MLB Playoffs: AL-Detroit at Houston, Kansas City at Baltimore. Detroit-Houston winner vs. Cleveland, Kansas City-Baltimore winner vs New York Yankees. NL- Dodgers, Philadelphia, San Diego, and Milwaukee are in. Atlanta, Arizona and the New York Mets will battle for the final two wild card spots as the Mets and Braves play a doubleheader Monday in games that were postponed due to a hurricane. 
  9. San Diego’s Luis Arraez held off the Dodgers’ Shohei Ohtani’s bid to win the NL Triple Crown and won the NL batting title with a .314 average. 
  10. Boise State’s Ashton Jeanty has rushed for 845 yards in the first four games.

    September 30, 2024 – 9:5 will you please list the playoff wins for LS before last season, because I am not sure (yet half way trust your analysis because i am not sure)

    I just read on the Calpreps site that an agreement has been reached with its parent, Maxpreps, whereby Calpreps will resume operation in time to cover this weekend’s action.

    It remains to be seen how teams such as La Serna can keep their lightweight playoff assignments, now that the Calpreps system is not there for them to game. Perhaps a few well-placed gift baskets to the CIF office will do the trick.
