Mid Valley High School Football Top 12

Quarterback Keyon Mills and Muir look better every week.

There were only two losses in the Top 12. Bishop Amat lost to fall to 2-5 and out of the rankings while San Dimas fell to Number 4 Northview. Number 1 Damien rallied to get a huge win over Upland while La Canada moved into the Top 12 with another lopsided win in the Rio Hondo League.

1. Damien (5-2) – Spartans rally for impressive one-point win over Upland.

2. Bonita (7-0) – Bearcats dispatch Claremont in Sierra League.

3. Downey (6-1) – Vikings make quick work of Bellflower.

4. Northview (7-0) – Who can compete with Northview?

5. Charter Oak (6-1) – Chargers may be tested this week against Colony.

6. St. Paul (4-3) – The Swordsmen are back on track with another win in the Angelus.

7. Mayfair (5-2) – It wasn’t pretty but Monsoons survive Warren.

8. La Serna (5-3) – Another week, another Del Rio League rout.

9. Muir (5-2) – Mustangs drop 50 on Burroughs.

10. Rio Hondo Prep (6-1) – Kares gearing up for key Gold Coast matchup with Viewpoint.

11. La Canada (7-0) – The Spartans break into the Top 12 with their seventh straight win.

12. San Dimas (5-2) – We won’t penalize Saints for falling to powerful Northview.

@ Just An Ol’ Has Been: Great job with the celestial smack! I believe the Lancers will go toe-to-toe with Schurr; the winner takes the league title.

We need to get by Kepler first.
But the possibility of BG-Schurr in the league finale for the title is exciting!

Schurr is like the Imperial Death Star, and the forces of the Rebellion have been annihilated so far. Only Bell Gardens has a shot at preventing the Spartans from repeating as Almont League champions.

Schurr is a really good team it seems this year, love it. I wonder how many of the kids are truly from the area. Something weird is going on up there, wish them luck.

    No love for SCHURR!!!
How is it that La Canada who’s ranked somewhere in the 300’s on maxpreps gets in the top 12 on here but SCHURR who’s ranks 238 in the state on maxpreps not in the top 12. That’s sad!!!! No respect for the SPARTANS.
From T. Peterson: This isn’t Max Preps this is Mid Valley Sports. I would love to see a La Canada- Schurr matchup. Looking forward to LC-Monrovia.
