  3. Former Stanford head coach David Shaw was officially announced as the passing game coordinator for the Detroit Lions.
  4. Shortstop Geraldo Perdomo signed a four-year, $45 million extension with the Arizona Diamondbacks.
  5. Lonnie Walker IV returned to the NBA signing with the Philadelphia 76ers for two-years, $3 million.
  6. LeBron James missed the All-Star game Sunday for the first time in his 20-year career.
  7. The Carolina Panthers signed quarterback Andy Dalton to a two-year, $8 million deal.
  8. Greg Sharpe, the play-by-play announcer for Nebraska football since 2007, passed away of cancer at the age of 61.
