The Mission Viejo Passing Tournament is set for this Saturday June 28. Santa Margarita dropped out of the tournament earlier this week and Schurr has stepped up to replace them. Schurr, under first year head coach Austin Montoya, has had a great summer so far.

The Spartans, led by freshman quarterback Jacob Torres, won the SGV Shootout on June 14 at Arroyo and they were unbeaten at the El Rancho Tourney last week heading into the afternoon games. Mission Viejo is a different animal. Take a look at these teams that will be chucking it around Saturday. Schurr threw with Damien this week to gear up for the big boys at Mission Viejo.

I was hoping Burbank might also be included here, so that a clear winner in the Schurr-Burbank parental faceoff might be established. The warmup round at the Ranch Rumble left everyone hungry for a resolution.
