On Monday it was announced that the often injured Williams would start the season on the Physically Unable to Perform list with an unspecified injury. Thursday morning the announcement came.

The Bolts drafted Williams seventh overall out of Clemson in 2017. In seven season he caught 309 passes for the Chargers and scored 31 touchdowns. In 2024 he took a tour around the NFL starting with the New York Jets and ending with the Pittsburgh Steelers. He finishes with 332 grabs and 32 touchdowns.

This leaves Chargers receiving room with Ladd McConkey, Quentin Johnson, and second round pick Tre Harris projected as starters. Key names coming off the bench are Derius Davis, veteran Jalen Reagor, fifth round pick KeAndre Lambert-Smith, and 2024 seventh rounder Brenden Rice.

With Will Dissly still projected as the starting tight end, it is now official that General Manager Joe Hortiz and Head Coach Jim Harbaugh added no new weapons for Justin Herbert.

No mystery what the offensive game plan will be in 2025.
