  1. Ohio State beat Texas 14-7 Saturday in the college football opener for both teams. Texas was ranked number one coming into the season.
  2. Bishop Montgomery fired head football coach Ed Hodgkiss after one game.
  3. Florida State beat Alabama 31-17 Saturday to open the college football season.
  4. The Dodgers beat the Arizona Diamondbacks 5-4 Sunday but lost two out of three in the series. They are two games ahead of the San Diego Padres in the NL West.
  5. Miami beat Notre Dame 27-24 Sunday night in the College Football opener for both teams.
  6. The Philadelphia Phillies signed right-hander Walker Buehler after he was released by the Boston Red Sox.
  7. New York Yankees slugger Aaron Judge moved into a tie with Hall of Fame catcher Yogi Berra for fifth in franchise history in home runs when he hit his 358th career homer Sunday.
  8. The Dallas Cowboys signed cornerback DaRon Bland to a four-year, $92 million extension.
  9. Former Dallas Cowboys linebacker Leroy Jordan, who played on the Cowboys first Super Bowl – winning team in 1972, passed away at the age of 84.
  10. The Cowboys open the NFL season Thursday night against the Philadelphia Eagles on NBC.

    I didn’t think things could get any more embarrassing for the fucla football program, and then they go and lose to UNLV!!!!! Like they say, “Don’t bRuin your life at fucla”.
