Everything remained the same in the Top 12. Six teams had byes and the other six won. Muir had the biggest win of the weekend with a 30-point rout of a good Burbank team. Huge victory for La Serna as well over Edison.

- Downey (4-1) – Vikings gearing up for Gateway League run.
- Charter Oak (4-1) – Chargers made quick work of Jordan.
- Muir (4-1) – Mustangs show who’s the boss in the Pacific.
- Bishop Amat (3-2) – Lancers open Mission League with Chaminade.
- Northview (4-1) – Vikes look even stronger now with La Serna’s win over Edison.

- La Serna (3-3) – Big win for the Lancers as they head into Del Rio League play.

He has a D1 body but he’s not that good of a qb, he can be sloppy with the ball at times and gets rattled easily. Playing in a Wing-T shields a lot of his weaknesses.
DR Lover; really ? Wow because they were very , very on their game playing up to their potential I suggest , not know. Again the QB played intensely very well as he made almost all the plays when they needed them in the ‘crunch’! Someone previously said here that this quarterback is going D1 if I recall correctly. i reacted ,just in my own mind without comment,
“no way LS has a potential D1 scholarship QB’! Well after watching him (he has pretty good size… ? 6 feet /6’1 or 2” height) I truly believe the blogger who said that is correct. Very quick, throws well on the run/sprinting or rolling out, good in the pocket , especially reading blitzes and taking full advantage of the holes in the Defensive linemen’s opened lanes. i hope it is fact he will go D1.. I was told by someone i saw at the store who also went to the game that he has a brother who plays for Colorado State. Do not take my word for this because i am not sure if it is true.
its not ls fault what league they are in
Of course! 100% pure fact the La Serna victory was huge, and i laugh at those that very much dislike them or do not give ls the credit they deserve. They won the state in a decent division. I know;I know that was then and this is now! La Serna wins ??? i dont know for sure??? What division 6,7 8? don’t matter to me because didn’t pioneer win terrible (CiF Board’s way of Wokeness and all wins trophies is my analysis) division cif championship; then Whittier kicked their butts on friday? Add to this , which i think is ten times worse than my statement on Pioneer (because Juarez of Pi HI can coach ) , is Mountain view baseball goes to the cif finals in the worst division (joking one time and serious on all esle) ‘beating school of the blind’, and similar clubs , before losing in the finals. WHY AM I INSULTING CIF BOARD OF DISGRACE? Because they developed ‘this unfair process of creating divisions possible”! South El Monte , in league play, beat up MV 30 to 1 ; yes in two games SEM beat the life out of MV 30 runs to 1 single run! ??? Unfair and very unskilled people leading the super important processes involved within our childrens very important and top priority life skill learning, through very competitive , athletic play. South El Monte lost in the first round in a close game I think . SEM was a very respectable club having to compete in a pretty good division. Mountain View goes to the cif championship ? If i am stupid i will not mind if bloggers tell me I am on this focus! But I ( am not a self appointed genius like some ) know enough to debate on almost all here with confidence. And this fiasco is only one of how many ridiculous similaritis
Nine – I think that’s how many guys LS has hurt right now.
It’s sarcasm my friend. I wish La Serna all the luck in the world, but when these guys could win league with their second stringers, they really don’t need much of that.
Thank God La Serna was able to gather themselves and get in a positive frame of mind for the severe tests that await them in league. And if you believe that, you probably also think Lincoln Riley is the right coach for the Trojans.
From T. Peterson: They’ll roll through league of course. But it’s always good to get a win heading into league. Why wouldn’t it be? So a loss would have been better?
