
Norwalk and Bellflower lined up and battled Thursday night.

[Norwalk] – Norwalk faced a fellow double wing team in Bellflower in a dog fight but the Lancers came out on top 14-7 Thursday night at Bellflower high school.
Both teams first two drives resulted in turnover on downs and on punts.
Norwalk got on the board just before halftime when quarterback Axel Bustamante pushed it in from the one-yard line to make it 7-0.
The Buccaneers came out strong on offense but so did the Lancers stopping them on a fourth down and one when Zion Burris stood up the running back and forced him back.
The Norwalk offense kept it going a 60-yard, nine play drive when Da’Ron Walker broke it for a 24-yard sprint to paydirt making it 14-0.
Late in the fourth Bellflower cut the lead in half when Zahir Brown-Jones got loose for a 39-yard run.
The Lancers were able to run out the clock when Diego Cerritos broke off a 31-yard run on a fourth and four.
Walker finished with 123-yards and a touchdown and had an interception on defense. Cerritos had 104 yards.
Norwalk stays perfect with the victory and will wait until Sunday to see who it will face in the playoffs while Bellflower finished 6-4 (third place in league) and will also wait for the brackets.
