  • With the 38-17 win, the Trojans improve to 7-2 overall on the season and 5-1 in Big Ten play. Northwestern falls
    to 5-4, 3-3.
  • USC Head Coach Lincoln Riley is 41-0 when holding opponents to 20 points or less.
  • The Trojans are now 6-0 all-time against the Wildcats.
  • Friday night’s meeting was the third time Northwestern had visited the Coliseum, with the previous two match-
    ups in Los Angeles coming in 1952 and 1969.
  • Friday was the first meeting between the two teams since the 1996 Rose Bowl, a game USC won 41-32. The
    1996 Rose Bowl MVP Keyshawn Johnson led USC out of the tunnel before Friday night’s contest.
  • WR Makai Lemon had a career-high 161 receiving yards and matched his career-high receptions with 11. It
    was his fourth 100+ yard receiving game of the season, surpassing his previous career high of 158 yards against
    Georgia Southern (Sept. 6).
  • Lemon also had a 4-yard TD run with 11:14 left in the fourth quarter for his second rushing TD of the season.
  • QB Jayden Maiava kicked off the game with a TD pass to WR Makai Lemon on the opening drive and then
    ran for a 6-yard TD on USC’s second drive, marking the third time this season Maiava has had a rushing and
    passing TD in the same game.
  • Maiava’s 10-yard TD pass to WR Ja’Kobi Lane with 7:56 left in the third quarter was his second TD pass of
    the game and his 17th of the season. Maiava’s 17 TD passes match his single-season career high from his 2023
    season at UNLV.
  • RB King Miller broke a 55-yard run with 2:35 in the second quarter. It was Miller’s second run over 50 yards,
    behind his 75-yard run against Missouri State (Aug. 30). It was also his fifth run of 40+ yards this season.
  • Miller rushed for 127 yards against the Wildcats, marking his third 100+ yard rushing total in the last four games.
  • TE Lake McRee’s 42-yard reception with 7:26 in the second quarter was his second longest reception of the
    season, behind his 64-yard reception against Missouri State (Aug. 30).
  • The Trojans ran their first fake punt of the season with 14:24 in the second quarter as QB Sam Huard complet-
    ed a 10-yard pass to WR Tanook Hines for a first down.
  • The USC defense held Northwestern to just 3 points in the second half, marking the second straight game the
    Trojans have held an opponent to 3 points in the second half after doing the same against Nebraska last week.
  • The Trojans have had four halves this season where they have held an opponent to just three points, including
    the first half against Purdue (Sept. 13) and the second half against Missouri State (Aug. 30).
  • The Trojans held Northwestern to 280 yards of total offense, marking the second straight game and third time
    this season that USC has held an opponent under 300 yards of total offense (vs. Missouri State, Aug. 30 and vs. Nebraska, Nov.1).
