- The Dodgers signed free agent closer Edwin Diaz to a three-year $69 million deal. Diaz had 28 saves with a 1.63 ERA last year for the New York Mets.
- Slugger Kyle Schwarber returned to the Philadelphia Phillies on a five-year, $150 million deal.
- The Indianapolis Colts signed quarterback Philip Rivers to the practice squad. Rivers, 44 hasn’t played in the NFL since 2020 when he played for the Colts and retired after the season.
- The Chicago White Sox won the draft lottery and will have the number one selection in the 2026 MLB draft.

- Boise State will play Washington Saturday in the Bucked Up LA Bowl at SoFi Stadium.
