@coaching …. Things like that can’t happen because there is no alignment whatsoever between Keppel administration and any good football coach . There’s only so much a person can do and cultures need at least 3 year cycle to see substantial change , unless you are bringing in 7×7 team.
Nobody can deny that the Indiana title was all due to the coaching of Cignetti, which leads me to wonder how this kind of scenario would play out on the high school level. Imagine RHP’s Mark Carson walking away from the Kares and taking the Keppel job as a personal challenge. What would the Aztec’s record be next season?
#1 Fernando was worth all the hype. Heisman winners are sometimes a bust, but this kid looks like the real deal. It’s just a shame he’s going to be a Raider, where all good things go to die. Maybe the Raiders will trade him for additional draft picks and send him to a team that has a chance of winning.
