South Delivers The Boom-Boom Bash on Santee
(South El Monte)—It was over early at The Swamp on Saturday night. The Southmen led 14-0 at the end of the first, 28-7 at the half, and 49-7 at the end of the third. The final score in the CIF State Division 7A Regionals was South El Monte 56, Santee 7.

Also the Bishop Amat defensive line and Charter Oak’s defensive backfield both have bright futures with a talented young group of players returning.

By Tim Peterson (Whittier) – Gabriel Canchola hauled in a 10-yard touchdown pass from Michael Maldonado with 21 seconds left in the fourth quarter to propel South El Monte to a 14-6 win over Pioneer Friday night at Dick Torres Memorial Stadium in the CIF Division 14 Finals.
