La Salle Advances in Diamond Bar Tournament

By Tim Peterson (East Los Angeles) – La Salle shut out Charter Oak 3-0 on Thursday and upended Upland 2-1 on Friday to advance to the championship game at the Diamond Bar Tournament at East Los Angeles College.

Hawk Tackling Clinic April 2: Special Guest – Seattle Seahawks Assistant Coach Rocky Seto

Rocky Seto is an Arcadia High School alum (class of 1994) that went on to play for USC from 97-98 and then started coaching for USC in 1999. In 2003, he became a full time coach starting with safeties and then linebackers. From 2006‐2009, Seto coached the USC secondary and In 2009, he was promoted to USC Defensive Coordinator. In 2010, Seto joined the coaching  staff of the Seattle Seahawks. In 2015, he was promoted to Assistant Head Coach for Defense.

Arcadia’s Hillier Commits to UC Davis

(Arcadia) – Arcadia quarterback Nico Hillier has committed to UC Davis Apache head coach Andrew Policky confirmed Friday.

Rosemead Joshes South

By Corey Kwok Rosemead’s Joshua Chaidez put forth a quality six inning start, yielding a run and five hits and logging six strikeouts en route to a 2-1 win over South El Monte Tuesday, while Joshua Nava closed the door in the seventh for the save.

Gladstone Gets Spathias

By Tim Peterson (Azusa) – Hector Spathias, who guided Bassett to a 6-5 overall record last year, was named the head coach at Gladstone Monday sources confirmed. 

Rest in Peace Louis De Leon

(El Monte) Former Mt. View lineman Louis “Louah” De Leon suddenly passed away on the morning of March 9, 2016 of health complications.  We are devastated by the sudden loss of Louis, and we must unite to help his family weather the most unbearable storm that life has to offer.
