- Softball: Arroyo fell to Irvine 15-2 Thursday in the CIF Division 6 Final.
- Claude Lemieux, a four-time Stanley Cup winner who played 21 years in the NHL, died by suicide the NHL Alumni Association announced Thursday. Lemieux was 60 years old.
- MLB owners proposed a hard salary cap as part of the next CBA on Thursday. According to the proposal each team would need to maintain a payroll of at least $171.2 million without exceeding $245.3 million, starting in 2027.
- La Serna FS/Athlete Jordan Bonilla has received an offer from the University of Willamette.
- La Serna WR/S/K/Athlete Landon Armenta has also received an offer from the University of Willamette.
- Charter Oak linebacker JD Sanchez has earned a spot on the 2026 NFF Team of Distinction through elite academic performance, defensive dominance, and outstanding leadership across athletics and the country. Sanchez had a 4.47 GPA and was All Academic Sierra League and Sierra League Player of the Year.
