Week 9 Roundups: Northwest Division
DEL REY La Salle 61, Cantwell-Sacred Heart 30 The Lancers (9-0, 4-0) continued their undefeated streak by knocking off the Cardinals (2-7, 2-3) Friday night at La Salle High’s Kohorst Field, clinching a share of the Del Rey League title.
Week 9 Roundups: Southeast Division
DEL RIO El Rancho 46, Pioneer 14 Six touchdowns by quarterback Joey Sanchez helped the Dons (4-5, 1-3) snap their three-game Del Rio League losing streak as they knocked off the Titans (2-7, 1-3) to pull into a tie for fourth place in the Del Rio, Friday night at Pioner High’s Titan Stadium.
Week 9 Roundups: Mid-Valley Division
ALPHA Viewpoint 52, Marshall 12 The regular season came to an end for the Eagle (3-7, 0-6) as they dropped their fourth consecutive game since their win over the City Section’s Angelou in a loss to the Patriots (4-5, 2-3) Friday night at Calabasas High.

Lancers Ruin Chiefs’ Chances
By Tony Solorzano (Whittier) – Frankie Palmer threw two touchdown passes and the defense stood tall as La Serna routed Santa Fe 31-3 Thursday night at Cal’s Whittier District Field. With the win the Lancers remained in complete control of the Del Rio League improving to 4-0.

DEL REY La Salle 29, Bishop Montgomery 10 The Lancers (8-0, 3-0) claimed sole possession of first place in the Del Rey League as they held off the Knights (6-2, 3-1) Friday night at Bishop Montgomery.

ALMONT Alhambra 24, Schurr 21 The Moors (4-4, 2-1) moved into a tie for second in the Almont League as they handed the Spartans (2-6, 1-2) a second straight league loss Friday night at Alhambra High’s Moor Field.
Week 8 Round Ups: Southeast Division
DEL RIO La Serna 67, El Rancho 33 The Lancers (7-1, 3-0) stayed tied for first in the Del Rio League as they handed the Dons (3-5, 0-3) their fourth straight loss and eliminated them from playoff contention Friday night at El Rancho’s Ernie Johnson Field.
