Alhambra Outlasts L.A. Wilson, 40-21

By Ron Vrooman (Los Angeles) –  The visiting Alhambra Moors defeated L.A. Wilson, 40-21, on Friday night to extend their winning streak to three games and finish nonleague play with a record of 4-1.  

Norwalk Stays Undefeated

By Tristian Rios (Norwalk) – Norwalk’s defense stepped up in key situations to secure a 21-14 victory over Paramount Friday night at Norwalk High School. 

Spartans Still Undefeated, 42-13

By Tim Peterson (Pasadena) – Joe Bell threw for two touchdowns and ran for one and Dash Paper ran for 192 yards and two scores to lead La Canada to a 42-13 win over Maranatha Thursday night at Keith Family Field.

Mid Valley High School Football Top 12

Not many changes in the Top 5. Three of the five teams lost but all to superior opponents. Northview jumped up two spots with an impressive road win over La Serna and Monrovia joined the party with its fourth consecutive win.

By Tim Peterson (Downey) – Sierra Canyon struck early and often in a 49-7 rout of Downey Friday night at Allen Layne Stadium. The Trailblazers led 21-7 at the end of the first quarter. They extended it to 42-7 at halftime and coasted the rest of the way on a running clock.
