On The Couch: June 12, 2009

June Gloom and one step closer.

I have to tip my hand to the Lakers for the way they handled that boisterous crowd in Orlando.

It is very tough playing there with that noise.

In my experience of covering Arena Football in many of the same arenas as the NBA it is on my top five.

It isn’t that they are just loud, the fans love to be belligerent as well.  In fact after thinking about it those fans with the Mouse ears maybe running neck and neck with Philadelphia.

I think Tim Peterson said it best on his Facebook page when mentioned a Courtnie Lee basket as time expires and Dwight making one of his free throws and the Magic are up 3-1.

It goes to show you how good this series really has been.  Stay in your homes on Sunday as the Lakers should rap things up.

It is one thing to celebrate a NBA Championship, its another to begin to riot after a Game Three win.  This is one of many reasons why I am not fond of the Lakers.

The Dodgers will get awful healthy this week playing the AL West. They travel to Texas and play a suspect first place Ranger squad, then head back home to play Oakland.

Imagine if they had that the Fertility Goddess batting as the DH.  Speaking of Manny, you think that his hair won’t be as long now that he is off the fertility drugs?  Just wondering.

With inter-league play starting this weekend this would really be a good time for the Angels to begin their run to the top.

Unfortunately, the bullpen and John Lackey have let them down considerably.

I understand how difficult it is to play when your teammate has perished, but the team should rally around it.  It just doesn’t appear to be happening.

I mentioned on Tuesday during the nine o’clock hour that if you wanted to go watch a super horse it would be Zenyatta.  Got word from several multiple sources that told me she is scheduled to run in the Vanity Handicap on June 27th.

Stay safe.
