South Hills Coach Kevin Smith has Huskies on the rise

Crescenta Valley drops from the top with a loss to Arcadia while Bishop Amat raises the index finger with three wins over La Salle. The Apaches by the way haven’t lost a Pacific League game since 2009. Bonita keeps rolling in the Hacienda while South Hills moves up by winning the Gladstone Tournament. Pasadena and Bellflower slid in while Northview and Baldwin Park were bumped out. Sierra Vista? Great team is it the Montview? The Dons are sitting at 19.       

1. Bishop Amat (15-2) – Lancers sweep three from La Salle.   

2. Bonita (13-3) – Hacienda run continues with rout of West Co.      

3. Arcadia (14-3) – Big win over CV gives Apaches 22 straight league wins.    

4. South Hills (12-4) – Huskies rout Covina to win Gladstone Tourney.        

5. Glendora (10-5-1) – Tartans still on top of brutal Baseline.     

6. Crescenta Valley (15-2) – Loss to Arcadia was only second all year.      

7. Covina (12-7) – Colts runner up at G-Stone; get Northview Thursday.     

8. La Salle (10-6) – Lancers beat everybody in league not named Bishop Amat.                          

9. Alhambra (12-3) – First place Moors take back to back wins over BG.      

10. Whittier Christian (14-3) – Heralds still have something to prove in Olympic.      

11. San Dimas (11-8-1) – Saints rout Baldwin Park 11-0; second in Valle Vista.      

12. Charter Oak (8-8) – Chargers chugging along in third in Sierra.     

13. Montebello (10-3) – Oilers surprise Alhambra, slug San Gabriel.                                 

14. Monrovia (8-8-1) – Cats happy to get back to Rio after three straight losses.   

15. Temple City (9-6) – Corey Copping dominates LC.      

16. Diamond Bar (10-8) – Kenny Matthews sporting 0.67 ERA.      

17. Arroyo (8-5) – Knights silenced by Angel Acosta; still on top of MVL.    

18. Damien (6-8) – Spartans take a week off to gear up for stretch run in Sierra.    

19. Sierra Vista (14-3) – Dons get fat off of Bassett.       

20. Gladstone (10-4) – Gladiators get shot at Sierra Vista next week.         

21. Bellflower (12-3) – Bucs have won five of six in Suburban.     

22. Village Christian (8-8) – Crusaders even with Heralds on top of Olympic.     

23. La Puente (11-3) – Warriors get one more shot at Sierra Vista on May 3.   

24. Whittier (9-6) – Cards battling Santa Fe for Del Rio supremacy.      

25. Pasadena (9-5-1) – Bulldogs in third place but only one loss in Pacific.
