Arcadia Coach Nick Lemas guided the Apaches into the Semis
(Arcadia) – K.J. Edson pitched into the seventh inning but it wasn’t enough as Arcadia fell to Etiwanda 3-2 Tuesday in the CIF Division 2 Semi Finals.
Etiwanda went up 2-0 in the fourth and added another in the fifth. Arcadia scored one in the fourth and one in the fifth but couldn’t push across the tying run.
“It’s disappointing right now but it’s all been awesome,” said Arcadia Coach Nick Lemas. “If you would have told me at the beginning of the season that we would go 14-0 and undefeated in the Pacific and end up a run short of advancing to the finals, I would have said ‘I’ll take it.”
Erik Trask came in and got the last two outs in the top of the seventh. Arcadia got a bad break in the bottom of the seventh when the first base umpire called the lead off batter out at first when it appeared the throw from third pulled the runner off of the bag.
