The WC's Troy Webb and Justin Meaders pause while doing a "Bulldog Workout"

Good Afternoon!

I always considered the late Armen Gilliam a bit of an NBA bust…When you go second overall there is a certain expectation…but at UNLV, he was the inside guy (The Hammer) Tarkanian needed to get to the Final Four…Great player for the Rebs…Sorry to see him go…

Really looking forward to Santa Fe on Saturday morning…then up to Arroyo to see if I can eek out a lunch from “His Arroyo Baldness” following the SGV Shootout… According to the last tally taken, following our argument in January, I was up to a full chicken wing earned…no sauce though…

Major announcement on next week’s Tuesday night show…

HoJo has been real quiet in the Mets series with the Dodgers this week…

Note to the Recently Escaped from Firework Stand Duty: It might not seem like it, but the dirt eventually does come out from under your fingernails…and it may take a couple of showers, but the grime and gunpowder does come off…

Unfortunately I didn’t get Robledo to sign off on Rosemead HC Matt Koffler’s appearance on “The Mid Valley Sports Show” last Tuesday night…So Koffler and staff will be on next Tuesday, July 12th…

Yeah, I don’t like it either…but this is the business we’ve chosen.

Why is Walnut wearing navy blue this summer?

Seven bucks a shirt baby…

Who’s dumber? Dallas Cowboys wide receiver Roy Williams for sending a $76,000 dollar ring through the mail…or Dallas management for sending the farm to Detroit to acquire him?

Williams makes the case for NFL players needing less money in their pocket than more…

Got to love the attitude of West Covina’s Justin Meaders and Troy Webb… Plus they have style…This is why the Bulldogs win the Hacienda again in 2011…

The Trib’s Tyler Drohan’s feature on Arroyo’s Steven Rivera this week was very good…I’m gonna give it one of these… O-K…

I don’t know enough about him, but I’ve been clued into the fact that Charter Oak junior linebacker Eric Ortiz is pretty dog gone good…

Last Add Gilliam: No truth to the rumor that Gilliam was still having nightmares later in life about Running Rebel point guard Marc Wade’s inability to hit a trey in the classic semifinal with Indiana.

The Dude abides…
