Former USC Linebacker Chris Claiborne is the new DC at DR
(Pomona) – Diamond Ranch is currently on its dead period and will return to the practice field Monday August 8.
DR Notes: Isiah Locke-Ramirez is the projected starting quarterback replacing last year’s starter Cesar Carrillo.
“Isiah is the guy right now. Cesar is still in baseball and we are still waiting to see if he is going to play,” said Diamond Ranch Coach Roddy Layton.
Former USC star and NFL linebacker Chris Claiborne is now the new Defensive Coordinator at Diamond Ranch. Claiborne started his NFL career with the Detroit Lions in 1999 and played four years there. He also had stints with the Minnesota Vikings, St. Louis Rams and New York Giants before retiring in 2006.
