1.) Peyton Manning’s streak of 227 consecutive starts will end Sunday at Houston.

2.) Dillon Baxter, the frontrunner for the starting USC tailback two weeks ago, was on the field for two plays against Minnesota.

3.) Arcadia’s Chris Handy in a 28-16 win over Arroyo September 28, 2001. (30 carries, 282 yards, TD.) RIP Chris.

4.) Covina has outscored West Covina 33-0 in the fourth quarter in the last two years.

5.) Arcadia’s last win over St. Francis was on September 7, 2007. Kevan Walker threw for 183 yards and ran for 117 more in a 17-6 victory at Arcadia.

6. This week Cliff Lee of the Phillies became the first pitcher to throw six shutouts in a season since the Dodgers’ Tim Belcher in 1989.

7.) Jacksonville cut David Garrard two hours after he was announced as the starting quarterback at a luncheon to help promote the team.

8.) San Gabriel Alum Arthur Brown started at fullback and rushed for 21 yards on five carries and also caught two passes for 13 yards for Dakota Wesleyan in a 56-20 win over Dakota State on Saturday.

9.) South Hills/Duarte Alum Jordan Canada saw action for Montana in a loss to Tennessee on Saturday.

10.) The last quarterback not named Peyton Manning to start for the Colts was current 49er Coach Jim Harbaugh.
