1.) Cathedral’s Hayden Rettig threw for 530 yards and six touchdowns last week.

2.) Tom Brady’s 517 yards passing for the Patriots Monday night was a team record.

3.) Covina has outscored El Monte 44-0 in the last two years.

4.) USC 17 Utah 14 – Final. Two hours later: USC 23 Utah 14- Final.

5.) Cam Newton’s 422 yards passing for Carolina Sunday was the most ever by a rookie quarterback making his first start.

6. Sebastian Janikowski’s 63 yard field goal tied him with Tom Dempsey and Jason Elam for the longest ever in the NFL.

7.) Senior Marc Tyler has rushed for 1296 career yards at USC. His father Wendell Tyler rushed for 3240 yards in four years at UCLA (1973-‘76.)

8.) Charter Oak cracked the LA Times Top 25 at 25 after a win over Roosevelt (Corona) last Friday night.

9.) Dallas Cowboy owner Jerry Jones said Tony Romo’s performance Sunday was “Outstanding.” “One of the best games I’ve ever seen him play.”

10.) Matt Kemp stole his 39th base and scored his 99th run Wednesday night.
