(“The Ten” is not a top ten, but ten items worth being included in The TEN)

1.) Detroit’s 48-3 win over Kansas City Sunday was the Lions’ largest since they beat the Browns 59-14 in the 1957 NFL Championship game.       

2.) Clayton Kershaw is the Dodgers’ first 20 game winner since Ramon Martinez went 20-6 in 1990.      

3.) Justin Verlander (24-5) has the most wins in the Majors since Arizona’s Randy Johnson in 2002.            

4.) By any name Metta World Peace (Ron Artest) can’t dance.                 

5.) Kershaw has beaten two time Cy Young Award winner Tim Lincecum four times this year.    

6.) Azusa’s Desmond Reed!     

7.) Azusa’s two losses this year are one less than the Aztecs have had the previous two years combined (21-3).      

8.) Coach Rick Neuheisel, in his fourth year at UCLA, has a career record of 16-24. Karl Dorrell’s five year record at UCLA was 35-27.
