Running back OJ Medina rushed for 155 yards and three touchdowns as the Lancers (5-1, 1-0) handed the Cardinals (3-3, 0-1) their third straight loss Friday night at Whittier District Field.
The Cardinals’ offense was stymied by the Lancer defense, held to just 89 total yards of offense and three pass completions. The lone score came on a 66-yard fumble return by Hector Ramirez in the third quarter.
The Cards Anthony Viramontes finished with 37 yards on the ground.
