Glenn got on the board first with a field goal with six minutes left in the first quarter. After that it was all Mayfair as the Monsoons swamped Glenn 60-23 Friday night in Suburban League play.
Aaron Brown scored on a 63 yard run and Josh Anderson ran back a pick 6 making the score 13-3 with the missed extra point. Jerry Smith then scored on a 30 yard reception but Mayfair failed on a two point conversion.
Mayfair recovered a fumble on the 10 yard line and Marcus Harding raced in on the second play from scrimmage. Another failed 2 point conversion made the score 25-3.
Cyrus Villena returned the ensuing kick off 95 yards for a Glenn touchdown to cut the Monsoon lead to 25-10. Aaron Brown took the rock and ran 96 yards on the second play after the kick off and Jerry Smith added another score with a 94 yard run from scrimmage to bring the score to 39-10.
Mayfair QB Christian Woo found Billy Thomas for a 50 yard touchdown pass and Thomas added a pick six on defense in the second quarter and suddenly it was 53-10 at the half.
Mayfair opened the second half with a 45 yard run from scrimmage from Titus Brown for the final Monsoon tally. Glenn scored twice late in the contest.
Mayfair will travel to Bellflower next week in what should determine the Suburban League Championship
