Southeast Division Top 20

Arcadia hoping Burbank wins at Arcadia(Photo by Anne Cypress)

The Southeast looks like a one horse race with West Covina dominating the Hacienda League. Question is can Diamond Ranch pull the upset? Arcadia will be scoreboard watching, while Pasadena and Muir have put some swagger back into the Turkey Tussle with a playoff spot on the line. Santa Fe pretty much wrapped up the Del Rio and the Suburban will be decided by a coin flip barring a Norwalk upset of La Mirada.

  1. West Covina (8-1) – If this was a horse race, Bulldogs would be even money favorites to repeat.
  2. Arcadia (7-2) – Need to take care of Crescenta Valley and hope for Burbank shocker.
  3. Santa Fe (5-4) – Joey Davis and Christian Mahlstede need to stay healthy to continue run.
  4. La Mirada (5-4) – Unless the Matadores bounce against Norwalk, it’s another league title.
  5. Burroughs (5-4) – Anding returns and Indians win.
  6. Diamond Ranch (5-4) – Does Roddy Layton have surprise in store for Wesco?
  7. La Serna (7-2) – Took out frustrations on poor Pioneer.
  8. Mayfair (6-3) – Monsoon nation has requested Joe T not to pick or show up to games.
  9. Pasadena (6-3) – Turkey Tussle could make or break season.
  10. Bonita (5-4) – No truth to the rumor that John Saller has been named a special consultant to the coach.
  11. Bellflower (6-3) – Should trounce Cerritos.
  12. Diamond Bar (4-5) – Let’s see if Brahmas can continue streak.
  13. California (6-3) – Complete game equaled win over the Ranch.
  14. Crescenta Valley (6-3) – Part of what could be a total mess for final two spots.
  15. Burbank (4-5) – Bulldogs upset of Pasadena has them still breathing.
  16. Los Altos (6-3) – Conquerors hold its playoff destiny.
  17. Muir (5-4) – Spiked visits to hospital for Mustang bandwagoners.
  18. Norwalk (3-6) – Could they be dangerous in playoffs?
  19. El Rancho (5-4) – Have enough to qualify for final spot if third place is taken.
  20. Whittier (4-5) – Cardinals need win and they are in with Cal loss.
