The TEN

(“The Ten” is not a top ten, but ten items worth being included in The TEN)

1.         San Gabriel’s Andy Guerrero throws for seven touchdowns against the Moors.

2.         Joe Sanchez’s pick six secures Griffin Bowl and playoff birth for El Monte.

3.         On this day in 1991 Magic Johnson shocked Laker fans and the world announcing he was HIV positive and would retire from the NBA.

4.         Mt. SAC’s Cameron  Deen (South Hills) throws for 288 yards and three scores in win over Fullerton.

5.         Monrovia’s Marquis Bias has rushed for 833 yards and nine touchdowns.

6.         LSU beats Alabama 9-6

7.         San Franciso 49ers have won seven straight.

8.         Fullerton’s Tra Sumler records eight tackles, an interception and two passes defended in loss to Mt. SAC

9.         UCLA hangs on and gets win over Arizona State.

    I’m a MOOR parent and proud of it, all the props and respect to SG coach Jude and company did excellent. I wish they would have gone easy on us (lol), with an offence like that they can easily compete with anyone and “slay a giant”. Coach new this was for all the marbles, unfortunately this was a case of “snoozing and losing”. In a championship game, you cannot sleep and hope the enemy goes away, we made no adjustments on “D” and they took advantage of it ALL NIGHT>> Good luck guys, “Villalobos Bros” GOD BLESS…

    @ Loking for you…..what’s your problem!?!?! The numbers for SG are what they are Coach O and his straff don’t need to inflate anything….the boys @ SG are going out a putting in work and getting the job done!! I can only guess you haven’t even been to a SG game this season….so how about you stop hating!!!

    One forgotten event that occured the same day as Magic’s was the ceremony for the late Jim Healy’s Star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame. He used to joke how he was upstaged that day and. Oh how he would have enjoyed the last 17 years

    Guerrero, 550 yds total for the game, 444 passing, 106 rushing, and great game by recievers Alex and Joey Villalobos and SG Defense!!
