Quarterback Shane Virnala led the Los Altos resurgence in 2011
(Hacienda Heights) – Los Altos racked up 38 points in the second half and went on to beat Diamond Bar 52-35 Thursday night to secure fourth place in the Hacienda League. The Conquerors, at 7-3 overall should be good enough to grab a playoff berth in the Southeast Division.
Los Altos was the surprise team in the Southeast winning seven games after going 0-10 a year ago.
