(Arcadia)-  KJ Edson, who helped pitch the Arcadia Apaches baseball team to a third consecutive Pacific League pennant, 26-4 record, and impressive run to the CIFSS Division 2 semifinals this past spring, has officially committed to and signed with the University of San Francisco on a partial baseball scholarship during an exclusive reception at his Arcadia residence on Saturday night in front of family, teammates, and fellow colleagues from around the area.

Edson, blessed with puzzling sidearm submarine pitching mechanics, yielded an impressive 0.93 ERA and 12-2 record with 2 saves in 13 appearances during his final prep campaign. He also (with limited opportunities) batted .389 lodging 7 hits and a RBI in 18 AB’s. KJ finished his Apache career 20-4 with 3 saves in 31 appearances for a 0.94 ERA, and 155 strikeouts.
