Game Night Mid-Valley Division Quarterfinal: San Dimas-Azusa

Dillon Corona is key to the Saints Success

Kick off 7:30 PM (Plan for 7:00 PM)

Friday November 25

San Dimas (9-2) at Azusa (8-3) Citrus College

September 9, 2011: San Dimas 41-16

2009: San Dimas 50-24: Mid-Valley CIF Semi Finals

Like Whittier Christian is sick of Monrovia, Azusa must be getting tired of San Dimas. Two years ago the Aztecs were routed by the Saints in the playoffs and in Week One this year San Dimas rolled to a 25 point win.

Azusa has a couple of weapons in Jake Martinez and the explosive Desmond Reed. But San Dimas has an abundance of arsenal. Their fourth running back would be starting at almost all the other schools in the area.

San Dimas was pushed last week by a San Marino team that was able to burn some clock and keep the ball on the ground. For the Aztecs to stay close they’ll have to establish the running game and keep the Saints off the field – easier said than done.

Reed will keep Azusa close. He’s always good for at least two big plays per game. But in the end it will be Dillon Corona, Domonic Jollevet and company that wears Azusa down. San Dimas prevails again.

San Dimas 28 Azusa 21
