When West Covina has the ball: It’s no secret that the Bulldogs will run the ball all day. With Chris Solomon, Aaron Salgado and Jimmy Frazier each getting an average of 10 carries a game all three will be fresh late in the game. Pasadena will need to pressure West Covina to throw the ball if they want to have any chance to win.
When Pasadena has the ball: Think RG3 when watching Brandon Cox at quarterback. Cox has an incredible arm and the only knock (if you can call it a knock) is the fact he will try and carry his team to victory when things are going well. Cleo Bates maybe the key to success for the Bulldogs to “pull” something. Bates is a punishing running back that needs to step up.
Player to Watch: Brandon Cox (Pasadena Quarterback) – Has matured into a team leader and without him where would Pasadena be.
Matchup to Watch: Riian Simpson (Pasadena WR) vs Lonzell Barnett (West Covina CB) – The best cover-corner in the Valley against the fastest receiver. If Simpson finds a little spacing it could be a magical night for Pasadena.
