Tologs Defense Shutsdown Bernstein

FSHA made it look easy Wednesday night.

(San Marino) – Not much can be done when heading into the break up by 25 points, but FSHA’s defense stepped it up a notch in the final two quarters by not allowing Bernstein to convert a field-goal in its 75-14 win in the San Gabriel Valley Classic at San Marino.

Led by Lana Haddad’s 23 points, the Tologs started slow early allowing the Dragons to stick around for a half-quarter before beginning to pull away.

Bernstein hung tough before succumbing to a 27-6 run by FSHA in the second quarter. Sandra Martinez’s three-pointer midway through the first quarter got the Dragons within two points.

It’s the closest Bernstein got. The Tologs defense did the rest causing 14 turnovers in the second stanza alone.

Ivy Fitzgerald started the second half with a jumper for FSHA, as easy as it was to score for the Tologs it was equally difficult for Bernstein who only could muster one point from the charity stripe.

FSHA finished pool play 1-1 after its loss to San Marino last night and the Dragons were 0-2.
