Roosevelt HC Javier "El" Cid has righted the Roughriders

Roosevelt HC Javier "El" Cid has righted the Roughriders

By Joe Torosian

Good Morning!

T-minus-42 until “The Mid Valley Classic”

Do we need to have a dead period for talking football?

Obviously excited about Arroyo-TC (“The Mid Valley Classic”) which gets a whole lot of attention…M-Town-Arcadia is in its fourth straight year, but one of the most interesting matches in zero week is Alhambra at Roosevelt…

Roughrider HC Javier Cid (great friend of The Mid), an El Monte resident, is going into his fourth season on the job. Since 2006 Cid has gone; 2-8, 6-5, and 10-3…He also returns playmakers Jonathan Alatriste and Manny Ayon…

Never thought I’d say something like this but… Dallas Cowboy fans need to take it easy on Tony Romo…Who do you want to be your quarterback? Mel Counts?

Hong-Chi Kuo’s fanning of Rick Ankiel after intentionally walking Albert Pujlos and Matt Holliday in the eighth was amazing… Would Jim Tracy have done that?…Joe Torre did…As cool a moment as I’ve ever seen in 35-seasons of Dodger fandom…

I’m told San Gabriel’s Arthur Brown is ready for a breakout season…

Does anybody remember when Dennys Reyes was going to be the next Fernando?

(Not that there’s anything wrong with it!)

Lamar Odom, seeing he could become the next Trevor Ariza, decides what the Lakers are offering is pretty good and agrees to stay…This gives me hope…if you combine wisdom with Odom’s talent…then you’ve got something…

Last Add Dodger-Cardinals: So I’m checking out ESPN this morning and they show highlights of the game. They remind me Manny Ramirez tested positive back in 2003, he went 0 for five in the contest, three for 18 in the series, and failed to make the play on the double by Nick Stavinoha…but don’t mention Kuo’s name concerning the most pivotal moment of the Dodgers 5-3 win…

David Ortiz and Ramirez are on The List for performance enhancing drugs…In 2003…Oh No! We need to have an Outside the Lines special…

ESPN grows weaker by the day…

Did you see Philly’s Chase Utley go yard after Giant starter Jonathan Sanchez fired one over his head?

Whittier was alive for a playoff birth into week ten last season before falling to Cal, 18-12, but don’t expect the Cardinals to compete in the Del Rio this year…

I am a fan of the WC’s George Johnson…Villathedevil, he’s the guy you want to talk to about that…

Stay thirsty my friends…
