Monrovia Celebrates at Library Park…Again

(Monrovia) – For the second consecutive January Monrovia Paraded down Myrtle Avenue and then celebrated its CIF Mid-Valley Division Championship at Library Park. It’s becoming an annual event.

Coach Ryan Maddox introduced each and every player from the Wildcats title wining team to the Monrovia faithful who came out to cheer for the team one more time.

Principal Darvin Jackson and Mayor Mary Ann Lutz also spoke briefly.

Back to Back Cats!

Monrovia won the Rio Hondo League title with a perfect 5-0 record and went 11-3 overall. The Cats beat Pomona, Whittier Christian and Covina in the playoffs before taking care of San Gabriel in the Finals on their home field.

The coaching staff remains intact and Monrovia has several players returning from this year’s team as the Wildcats now begin their request for a three peat.
