(Whittier) – Chuck Willig has been named the Head Coach at Pioneer sources say. Willig takes over for Ramon Juarez who stepped down last month.
Willig played his high school football at St. Paul and has also coached at the school. Willig, a cornerback, had 15 interceptions as an all CIF senior in 1977. He then went on to play in college at Northern Arizona University.
Willig has also coached at St. Anthony High School in Long Beach. Willig’s brother, Matt Willig, will be joining him on staff.
The Titans are coming off a 1-9 season overall and were 1-4 in the Del Rio League.
