Coach Tom Hofman and the Spartans were frustrated all night
(Temple City) – Temple City went on a 16-4 third quarter run to erase a seven point halftime deficit and went on to stun La Canada 46-38 Wednesday night on its home floor.
The Spartans jumped out to a 14-10 first quarter lead and carried a 21-14 advantage into the break. The Rams, after scoring just four points themselves in the second quarter limited La Canada to only four in the third quarter and then held on for the victory.
Eric Olivas hit a couple of huge threes for Temple City in the second half and Shuo Yang was effective inside.
For Temple City it was just its second Rio Hondo League win against five losses. La Canada dropped to 5-2 in league but is still tied for first place.
